Wet down the glass with windex (or equivalent), and stick the trashbag piece to the glass. Wait 15 or 20 minutes, until the glass and plastic bag are REALLY hot. This melts the adhesive that holds the film to the glass. Working quickly, remove the bag and peel off the film.
The film is yellowing or bubbling: Over time, exposure to UV rays can cause the PPF to yellow. This is especially common with older films that didn’t have UV protection built-in. If you notice your film starting to yellow, it’s time to replace it. The film is peeling: Peeling is another sign that the PPF has reached the end of its lifespan.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do just that. 1. Start by gently peeling back a corner of the film. 2. Once you’ve got a corner lifted, slowly and carefully peel the film away from the phone. 3. If there are any adhesive residues left on the phone, use a lint-free cloth dampened with water or alcohol to remove them. 4. PE film does not dissolve with any normal solvents. Solvents only work if they can get under the film, but the adhesives have oxidized and that is a problem also. UV destroys the film and "some" adhesives . Heating the film to 400 degrees will soften it , but the adhesive may or may not respond. Eventually the Sun will destroy the film. I had to peel off 10 year old tint that was baked to the glass by the sun. Piece of cake.Links to Products. Just click and pay!4" Scraper http://amzn.to/2l
