Two very smooth shooting, absolutely trustworthy, go to war guns. The CZs are the same at a fraction of the cost. That said, I just like my CZs a little better. Both have ok triggers out of the box. I put the short reset in the Sigs and it made the triggers tolerable. I put short reach and short reset triggers in my CZs and they are pretty
The 75 Omega is simply a steel 75 frame with Omega trigger system. The Omega trigger is very popular in the P-07. The only reason the 75 Omega is not as popular is because they are very hard to find in the USA. If possible try to shoot a regular 75 and a P-07. Then you can decide if you like the standard trigger or the Omega trigger. 29624 posts ยท Joined 2007. #5 ยท Jan 19, 2014 (Edited) So to detail it out. CZ with manual safety is like a 1911 - cocked and locked -- draw - take safety off - ready aim fire. CZ with a decocking lever would need to be carried hammer down - draw - fire first round in DA - then the rest can be fired in SA. B) I would have 11 months to train with it, pick holsters, etc. Anyway, right now my top picks are a CZ P-01 or a P-02. As far as I can tell the only difference is that the P-02 has the new Omega trigger system, but on the CZ forums one poster mentioned that with the Omega system the barrel had to be changed to accommodate the new system.
But between the 2 options, Beretta. I felt the CZ-75 was way overhyped on the internet. In the real world it isn't well thought of. It is crudely built with a poor trigger. The slide inside the frame is very difficult to operate and they have had spotty quality over the years. But to be fair, even with the poor trigger accuracy is above average.
Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize you were working with the Omega, those triggers are a little harder to find because it's not as popular of a platform. I have the 85 combat adjustable Omega trigger on my po9 and it feels fantastic, I have been trying to find 85 combat triggers for my other 75 variants for a while, might just be worth the wait to
A really, really nice combination for just over $1000 all-in. Comparing this to my Sig 229-9-LEGION RX that was just over $1500 all-in is apples and oranges. The P-01 is lighter and more compact, but with the 16+1 round Mecgar mags has plenty of capacity and about 4 oz lighter than the Sig.

The P01 has the standard trigger, works fine. It has the decocker. My Omega is one of the first in the states, I was told it was part of a build for a Central or South American police buy, which was backed out on. I got it for all of $400. The trigger is lighter than a standard metal CZ, maybe a bit longer DA draw.

Can someone advise me the pros / cons of choosing the "standard" P-01 versus the one with the Omega trigger. I have read where there isn't much difference, but that the Omega is easier to work on. I don't think I'd be interested in switching back and forth between Safety / Decocker.. probably just run it Decocker.
